Brings Tears

Don E. Jordan (Letters, April 19) lamented the news media’s oversight in not commemorating the passing of Franklin D. Roosevelt 40 years ago. He went on to state that President Roosevelt “is the only President who brings tears to people’s eyes. . . . “

But that is not entirely true. I can think of two additional Presidents who bring tears to my eyes. John Fitzgerald Kennedy and Ronald Reagan, but for two entirely different reasons.
