Alternative Living for the Aging to Dedicate Second Senior Co-op

Alternative Living for the Aging (ALA) will dedicate a shared residence for senior citizens 62 or older Sunday in the Beverly-Fairfax area.

Co-op House II will be named in honor of Lee and Ruth Rothman and will provide private bedrooms and bathrooms to 14 persons in a renovated residence. The address of the house is confidential to protect residents’ privacy.

The new residence follows Co-op I for nine persons aged 70 to 89. ALA also plans to build a shared apartment community in Santa Monica and to move the El Greco apartments from Westwood to Beverly-Fairfax to provide moderate income cooperative housing.
