MISSED WEDDING

Thanks for Robert Hilburn’s account of Bruce Springsteen’s wedding in Lake Oswego, Ore. (“Bruce Springsteen Picks Actress as ‘Mrs. Boss,’ ” May 11). With all the last-minute changes and rumors circulating about the time and place, I was unable to make plans to attend.

Apparently, in all the haste, Mrs. Boss didn’t even have time to register a silver pattern (a few calls to Gumps, Niemans and the Lake Oswego Galleria turned up nothing). I just hope the his & hers matching sweatbands I sent them arrived intact.

Again, thank you. Hilburn’s description of the ceremony was the next best thing to being there.
