Louganis, who grew up locally, will join other members of the U.S. National Diving Team at the San Diego Diving Spectacular, which will take place at noon and 4 p.m. at UC San Diego’s Canyonview Pool. Both shows will concentrate on elements of competitive diving, training and diving safety.

Saturday night from 7-10, Louganis will be present at a program in the Balboa Park-based San Diego Hall of Champions. National Diving Team Coach Ron O’Brien and 1984 Silver Medalist Michelle Mitchelle, will also be on hand. Louganis was the Hall of Champions’ 1984 Amateur Star of the Year.
