Associated Press
PHOENIX, Ariz. —
Astronomers recently discovered a star that is cooler and dimmer than any other star in the sky.
The star is 500 million years old, is 30 light years away from this planet and is believed to be on its way to becoming a black dwarf.
A black dwarf is a star that is energetically inert and cannot burn its own fuel.
