The deputy involved was not identified.

The shooting occurred as police officers, sheriff’s deputies and representatives of the state Department of Justice, were conducting the search at 414 B Sheridan St. in central Corona, Dalzell said.

Small amounts of “heroin, and we don’t know what else” were found in the house, Dalzell said, and the substances will be analyzed.
