NAACP Chapter Honors Bishop Tutu

South African Bishop Desmond Tutu, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize this year, has received a Roy Wilkins Memorial Award for humanitarianism from the Los Angeles chapter of the National Assn. for the Advancement of Colored People.

The Anglican bishop could not attend the Monday night awards dinner personally, so the prize was accepted by one of his daughters, Mpho Tutu, who has been studying in the United States.

A second Roy Wilkins Memorial Award, this one for business achievement, was presented to Robert O. Anderson, chairman of Atlantic Richfield Co.
