The Aga Khan, who owned a big stake in the $15 million racehorse Shergar, said he believed that Irish Republican Army guerrillas kidnapped it last year.

The Aga Khan, one of the richest men in the world, said in a television interview in London that the IRA snatched the horse in the hope of gaining a fat ransom. It was never seen again after armed men bundled it into a horse trailer west of Dublin in February, 1983.
