The licensing of technology internationally will continue to grow significantly over the next five years, predicts John McPherson.

McPherson, a Phillips Chemical Co. executive, says Thailand, a country rich in oil and gas, will be one of the more aggressive licensors as it establishes a niche in the petrochemical market. China, in the midst of a large modernization effort, has said it will import 3,000 new technologies by the end of 1985.
