Restaurant workers, musicians, building managers, news carriers and recreation or amusement park workers are the most likely victims of crime, Marcus Felson, a USC associate professor of sociology, and two others have concluded after a study of nine recent annual National Crime Surveys. They rated 246 occupations and found that bank tellers, opticians, clergy and engineers have the safest jobs. Co-writers of the report were Richard Block of Loyola University and Carolyn Block of the Illinois Law Enforcement Commission.
