Taking Sides on Abortion Issue

Share

Thomas writes:

“Pregnancy would be compulsory only if sexual intercourse was compulsory. The time to choose is before you crawl into bed.” This seems to read: The only purpose of sexual intercourse is to make babies. If you don’t want babies, you can’t have sex. A passionless view of what most would see as an intimate human bonding.

Addressing the point that choice is good for families, Thomas writes, “Carried to its extreme, if everyone exercised such ‘choice’ there would be no families left.” This bizarre statement clearly gives me the impression of a man who views families as a “have to” instead of a “want to.” Sadly, he exposes his dim and joyless view of family life.
