50 Protesting U.S. Policy Seized

Demonstrators opposing U.S. aid to Nicaraguan rebels protested at the offices of several Republican congressmen and at federal buildings today, and police arrested more than 50 people, 31 of them in Chicago.
About 63,000 Americans have signed a “Pledge of Resistance,” promising to risk arrest in acts of civil disobedience or to protest legally to show their opposition to the Reagan Administration’s Central America policies, organizers of the rallies said.
