In 2-quart microwave-safe casserole, combine 1 (11-ounce) can condensed Cheddar cheese soup and 2 (14-ounce) bags caramels. Cover and microwave on HIGH 9 to 11 minutes, or until melted, stirring frequently.
Insert wooden stick into stem end of each apple and dip into hot caramel sauce. Turn until coated. Scrape excess sauce from bottom of apple. Roll in chopped walnuts. Place on greased wax paper. Chill until caramel coating is firm. Makes 24 small caramel apples.
