The first 70 years was a piece of cake for Citrus College in Glendora--a 70-foot long piece of cake, to be precise. The college marked its 70th anniversary last week with a gala celebration attended by students and many dignitaries.

There was band and carillon music, speechifying, a ceremonial flag raising and the singing of the college song.

And after the ceremonies, there was still that giant cake, which was immediately served to the guests.
