Eight people have been named to serve on the city’s new Environmental Review Board, which was established to oversee the operations of the controversial trash-to-energy plant that has been approved for construction adjacent to the existing county landfill on Questhaven Road.

Named as the three environmental representatives to the board were Diane Takvorian, executive director of the Environmental Health Coalition; Brooke Nash, executive director of Solana Recyclers Inc., and Jennifer Anderson, co-director of Ecological Life Systems Inc.

Two of the three technical representatives are Jeff Ritchie, general manager of Mashburn Sanitation, and Gerald Hardacre, a hazardous materials controls specialist for the Kearfott Division of Singer Co. The third will be named later.
