Temporary Head Named for Student Aid Programs

WASHINGTON —
Education Secretary William J. Bennett on Thursday named C. Ronald Kimberling, a deputy assistant secretary, as acting head of the department’s $8-billion student aid programs. He will temporarily replace Edward M. Elmendorf, who announced his resignation last month.
