The medical researcher who co-discovered the secret of life--the structure of DNA--says scientists have entered a new era of research on cancer and could soon unravel its molecular basis. “Right now, we’re on the verge of cracking much of the mystery of cancer,” James Watson said in an interview with Parade magazine to be published Sunday. Watson was awarded the Nobel Prize for co-discovering the secret of life--the double-helix shape through which deoxyribonucleic acid replicates itself.
