Is the research department of ABC so inept that it did not know that on May 25, 1979, Flight 191 from Chicago to Los Angeles crashed on takeoff? Two hundred and seventy-one people were killed, one of whom was my father. For ABC to show an airline disaster movie (“International Airport”) on the sixth anniversary of the crash displayed a callous disregard for the feelings of the relatives who lost loved ones in that awful disaster.
