A GM unit said it will buy back some stock.

Electronic Data Systems, a subsidiary of General Motors, has launched a tender offer for odd lots of 99 or fewer shares of GM Class E common stock, which is a form of stock that GM established when it bought EDS last year. The offer expires July 31. The company said it needs the shares to meet future obligations of EDS under stock incentive and employee benefit plans.
