Assad Meets With Gorbachev

MOSCOW —
Syrian President Hafez Assad flew to Moscow today for talks on the Middle East peace with Soviet leader Mikhail S. Gorbachev, Tass press agency said. Assad and Gorbachev agreed during their meeting that a separate Palestinian state is the key to peace in the region, Tass said.
