The father of a 16-year-old Tarzana youth charged with robbing two San Fernando Valley banks was himself charged with one count each of extortion and cocaine possession, and three counts of loan-sharking, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said. Allan Eugene Morrison, 50, owner of a pornographic bookstore in Lennox, pleaded not guilty to the charges in Los Angeles Municipal Court, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Diane Vezzani. Judge Elva Sopa set Morrison’s preliminary hearing for Aug. 19. He is free on $2,000 bail. Morrison was arrested May 31 after he allegedly threatened to kill businessman Gary Brown. Morrison allegedly demanded that Brown pay $1,500 on a $3,500 loan on which Brown claimed he had already paid more than $7,200, Vezzani said. Morrison’s son Michael, and another 16-year-old boy were arrested last month for investigation of the robberies.
