Jay D. Hodge, a 41-year-old real estate broker, has been appointed to the Planning Commission to fill the unexpired term of Dr. Harvey Brown, who was removed from the commission in March for failing to list a loan from the developer of his home on his financial disclosure statement. Hodge was appointed unanimously by the City Council. His term expires in December.
Hodge, who has lived on the Palos Verdes Peninsula for nine years, headed the committee that incorporated the Eastview area into the city’s general plan.
Eastview, which runs along Western Avenue and overlooks San Pedro, was annexed by the city in January, 1983.
