Mideast Hijacking

Let the timid stay at home!

I cannot criticize those hostages who pleaded that everything be done to bring them home; I can say that, if I were an hostage, I hope I would have the courage to snatch the microphone and say, “I wish I had 10 lives to give for my country”.

The greatness of this country will not endure without sacrifice: without it, we cannot be strong, cannot be free. One thing is clear: the front line is no longer the sole province of the military. All who travel are at risk. The President is not immune. Wherever he goes, he risks the assassin’s bullet. Let us tell him clearly that he has the right to expect the same of us all.

This nation’s course should be straight and true. Deviation from it is too great a price for any life.
