A U.S. congressman on a visit to Managua, said he warned Nicaragua’s President Daniel Ortega to end close relations with the Soviet Union and Cuba and cease being a “threat” to other Central American countries. Rep. Don Ritter (R-Pa.), meeting with reporters in the Nicaraguan capital, said he told Ortega that many Americans regard his nation as a threat to neighboring countries. Ritter and California Rep. George E. Brown Jr. (D-Colton) are on a seven-nation Latin American tour.
