Informatics Division Names Coordinator

David Burns joined Informatics General Corp. of Woodland Hills as senior marketing coordinator for the company’s Answer division.

Burns was previously a sales and marketing representative for McCormack & Dodge, the Natick, Mass.-based financial systems software company.

The Answer division develops and markets software that helps small computers communicate with mainframe computers. Informatics sells computers, software and computer services to medium- and large-sized companies.

Creve Maples joined Vitesse Electronics Corp. as chief scientist for digital products. Maples previously was director of the Advanced Computer Architecture Laboratory at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He will head software development for Camarillo-based Vitesse, a manufacturer of high-speed computers and integrated circuits.

Western Data Systems of Woodland Hills appointed Gerald Kaminsky vice president for marketing. Kaminsky comes from Xerox Computer Services in Los Angeles, where he was manager of strategic planning. Western Data Systems makes financial management and manufacturing software for government defense contractors.

Du-par’s Restaurants, Encino, appointed Juanita A. Ludwig vice president-operations and Marilyn G. Williams vice president-administration.
