Jolted

I sat as usual, like I do every morning, reading your editorials with coffee, and now and then glancing out over the Pacific Ocean. This morning, though (July 4), while reading, “Ask The Immigrants,” I cried.

I am so lucky to be here, at this time, in the United States. And I’ve lived here all 33 years of my life. I’m ashamed it needed an editorial to jolt that emotion.
