City, Builders to Honor Watt

Builder Raymond A. Watt will receive a special citation from the City Council and be honored by the Los Angeles chapter, Building Industry Assn. of Southern California at Thursday’s membership meeting at the Westwood Plaza Holiday Inn.

The council citation recognizes Watt’s contribution to the development of the Southern California area and his contributions to the community. Watt Industries was founded in 1947, and Watt is chairman and chief executive officer. He was inducted recently into the National Assn. of Home Builders’ Hall of Fame.

Watt will address the meeting on the current status and direction of the building industry. The public is invited to the 7 p.m. dinner meeting; details and reservations are available from the chapter at 1571 Beverly Blvd.
