Robert Rees, superintendent of the Deuel Vocational Institution at Tracy, has been appointed acting warden of violence-plagued Folsom Prison. Officials said Rees, 59, is expected to remain at Folsom for two or three months pending final medical reports on the condition of Warden Joe Campoy, who is on extended medical leave because of what officials describe as severe high blood pressure. Meanwhile, state Corrections Director Daniel J. McCarthy ordered a task force to review administrative procedures and inmate violence at the 105-year-old prison. There have been 134 stabbings at Folsom so far this year, three of them fatal.
