‘85 Corn Crop Up 8% From ’84

WASHINGTON —
The 1985 corn crop to be harvested in the next few months is estimated at a record 8.27 billion bushels, up 8% from last year, the Agriculture Department reported today.
Soybean production was estimated at 1.96 billion bushels, up 5% from the 1984 harvest, and cotton output was estimated at 13.8 million bales, a 6% increase. Wheat production will be 2.38 billion bushels, down 8% from the 1984 harvest.
