Share

New home sales in southern Orange County during the first quarter of 1985 totaled 1,610, above the 1,472 homes reported sold during the last quarter of 1984 but 4.2% below sales in the first quarter of the previous year.

Residential Trends, a quarterly housing report developed by Market Profiles of Costa Mesa, added that the 9.4% increase occurred entirely among detached homes, which rose 24.8% from 609 to 750, while attached homes declined by 13 sales.

The increase in northern Orange County during the first quarter was small, 33 homes for a total of 889, the report added, but new home sales were still 34.1% below the first quarter of 1984.
