A committee representing 39,400 stockholders has filed with courts in New York and Delaware in an effort to force Manville to hold its first annual meeting in three years. The committee is trying “to compel Manville to call and hold annual meetings for the years 1983, 1984 and 1985,” said Steven J. Mandelsberg of the New York law firm Hahn & Hessen, which is representing the preferred and common stockholders. Manville is incorporated in both states.
