William J. Deasy, president and chief operating officer of Boise, Idaho-based Morrison Knudsen Corp., has been elevated to chief executive following the death last week of Chairman W.H. McMurren. The position of chairman wasn’t filled. Deasy, a 21-year employee of the company, was named president in June, 1984.
