Jerry Falwell and S. Africa
Jerry Falwell is preaching the oddest version of Christianity I have ever heard of. I just cannot see where he gets his justification for increased nuclear proliferation. Is that the part in between “turn the other cheek” and “love thy neighbor?”
Actually, I suppose the same piece of theology that allows him to call Bishop Tutu a “phony” and support increased investment in South Africa is also responsible for his view on arms control. That’s the book right between “Exodus” and “Leviticus,” the book of “political expediency.”
