2nd Game of Chess Title Match Ends in Draw at 65th Move

The second game of the world chess championship match between titleholder Anatoly Karpov and challenger Gary Kasparov ended in a draw Friday on the 65th move.

The game, in which Karpov played white, was adjourned Thursday when Kasparov sealed his 41st move.

Kasparov won the first game, and now has 1 1/2 points to Karpov’s half point. The first player to win six games or to accumulate 12 1/2 points will be declared the winner.
