Copyright Defense

I read the Aug. 25 article, “Malpractice Suits Aim at Architects.”

I concur in most areas the writer covered except one. To register a copyright on a design can be done at least cost. However, if a court suit is filed against the copyright owner, the U.S. Patent Office will not defend same. Only the courts can decide if a copyright design is valid. Of course, the copyright owner pays all costs to defend the design.
