30 Horses Sell for $3.5 Million

LAS VEGAS —
An elaborate auction of 30 Arabian horses owned by entertainer Wayne Newton grossed slightly more than $3.5 million, a spokesman said today.
Saturday night’s auction at a Strip hotel drew Arabian horse fanciers from across the country. The auction featured horses from Newton’s ranch near Logandale, 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas.
