TransTechnology, a Sherman Oaks-based aerospace and defense firm, said Monday it has bought Flight Connector, a manufacturer of electrical connectors, for $5 million cash.

Flight Connector, based in Rancho Dominguez, had sales of about $7 million last year and employs 135 people there. It had been owned by Dubiliear a British electronics company.

Flight Connector will become part of TransTechnology’s Breeze-Illinois unit, a designer and manufacturer of electrical connectors and cable used in computers, aircraft and defense systems.
