Texas Prisoners Confined to Cells to Quiet Gang War

HUNTSVILLE, Tex. —
Texas Department of Corrections officials said Wednesday that about 17,000 inmates at 13 Texas prisons remained confined to their cells to quiet a war among prison gangs.
