French Air and Port Traffic Back to Normal
Air and port traffic returned to normal Friday in France after strikes by traffic controllers at Paris airports and by dockers in two major ports, officials said.
Officials at Paris’s Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports said the situation was normal. A two-day strike by the controllers over pensions ended overnight with the government rejecting the strikers’ demands.
Commercial traffic resumed in the northern ports of Rouen and Dunkirk after a 24-hour strike by dockers in the Communist-led CGT union, port authorities said.
