$51-Million Complex Rising at Beach
Charter Centre, a $51-million mixed-use center, has been topped out in Huntington Beach, a primarily residential town.
A project of Mola Development Corp., the master-planned eight-acre center was designed by McLarand, Vasquez & Partners Inc. of Costa Mesa.
When completed on Nov. 1,, the development will feature a 14-story, 210,000-square-foot office building called “the city’s tallest building;” a five-plex Edwards Einema, a 44,000-square-foot Holiday Health Spa, several restaurants and a six-level parking structure. The project is expected to give the city its first glimpse of a skyline.
Charter Center will occupy a full block at the intersection of two of the most heavily traveled arteries--Warner Avenue and Beach Boulevard. The site was previously occupied by the Ocean View School District.
