A $50,000 reward has been offered by friends and family members of a Brentwood couple gunned down in their Mercedes-Benz as they returned home from a post-Yom Kippur dinner. Michael Holtzman, attorney for the late Gerald Abraham Woodman, 67, and his wife, Vera, 63, said the reward would go to anyone who, by Oct. 15, comes forward with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killers. Also present at the Beverly Hills press conference was Los Angeles Police Detective Jack Holder, who said the slayings, by men described as wearing black martial arts-style clothing, might have been a bungled robbery attempt or the result of a family dispute or a contract hit. “We’ve received numerous tips and we have some good leads,” he said.
