A 34-year-old Beverly Hills man faces a Nov. 15 preliminary hearing on a charge of soliciting former Pittsburgh Steeler defensive lineman Ernie Holmes to kill wealthy Los Angeles businessman George Patarias Huck, 46, who was shot to death in front of his Mt. Olympus home on Aug. 22, 1984. His killer has never been found. Donald Kreiss, who reportedly was going with the victim’s estranged wife, Sana, was arrested in July and is free on $50,000 bail. Holmes is not a suspect, said Los Angeles Police Detective Michael Thies. Attorney Howard Price, who described Kreiss as an “entrepreneur,” said his client is innocent and that the conversation he had with Holmes a year before the slaying was not taken seriously by Holmes.
