French Sinking of Greenpeace Ship

Thank you for keeping your readership informed on the events surrounding the bombing of the Greenpeace ship Rainbow Warrior.

This act, perpetrated with the knowledge of high officials in the French government, resulted in the death of a crew member aboard the Rainbow Warrior. For a major world power to protest the position of Greenpeace concerning the frail ecological balance of our planet is one thing. For that same world power to resort to international terrorism and murder is quite different, and I join with civilized people the world over in condemning such tactics.

How ironic that this crime has focused world attention on something the French government would rather hide: the effects of French nuclear testing on the health and well-being of the thousands of human beings who live near Mururoa Atoll in the South Pacific.
