Computer Lets Fingers Do the Home Hunting

Share

People looking for shelter will soon be able to tell a computer exactly what their desires and specifications are and they will receive a listing of all available housing in their vicinity. The information will be provided through a joint program arranged by San Diego Teleguide through Insites, a monthly housing survey published by the Goodkin Group.

The use of Teleguide terminals is free to the public. For a fee, developers may choose to provide additional information, and even graphics, to describe their projects in detail.

San Diego Teleguide, which is owned by Chronicle Videotex Inc., is a computerized public access information system that provides information on recreation, restaurants, lodging, shopping, business, transportation and other points of interest.
