CommerceBank to Open Loan Production Office

CommerceBank of Newport Beach said it will open a loan production office in downtown Long Beach on Nov. 1. The new office, approved by the state Banking Department, is not a branch and cannot accept deposits, approve loans or handle other banking operations for the public.

Roberta E. Masters, CommerceBank’s senior vice president, said the office is being opened to develop a lending business, which would go through the state-chartered bank’s main office in Newport Beach or its Costa Mesa branch.
