There wasn’t much “business as usual” this week for Orange County cities as several either canceled or postponed meetings so officials could attend a four-day League of California Cities meeting in San Francisco. Some, like Garden Grove, which sent four of five council members northward along with the city manager, two assistant city managers and the city clerk, canceled their meetings entirely. Meetings were also canceled in Anaheim, Costa Mesa and Yorba Linda. Others postponed civic business, including Westminster, which pushed its meeting back from the regular Tuesday night schedule to Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The San Francisco conference ends today. Santa Ana postponed its Monday meeting for one week, as did Irvine its Tuesday session.
