The Pasadena Unified School District and United Teachers of Pasadena have resumed negotiations on salary and benefit increases after declaring an impasse last month. United Teachers President Saul Glickman said the union called a moratorium on teacher protests after school officials asked that discussions be reopened. Teachers picketed the Education Center during Board of Education meetings in September and last week protested by boycotting back-to-school nights held by several elementary schools.
