Patrick Importuna, director of community development for Lynwood, has resigned effective Oct. 18 to become economic development director for the city of Garden Grove. Importuna, 38, has been head of Lynwood community development for 14 months. Before that he was vice president of RIM Development Co., an Alhambra property development company.
Importuna, who earned approximately $46,000 a year in Lynwood, will be paid $58,000 in his new job. A resident of Rialto, Importuna holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in urban planning from Cal Poly Pomona.
