Harvard to Mark 350th Anniversary Next Fall

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. —
Harvard University will mark its 350th birthday next fall with lectures, concerts and fireworks but without the parade of scholars and statesmen honored during the anniversary celebration 50 years ago.
Harvard announced Tuesday that honorary degrees will not be part of the celebration but gave no reason for the decision.
