The Venice Area Chamber of Commerce has selected Michael P. Alongi as its new manager.

A native of Illinois, Alongi formerly served as executive director and chief operations officer for the Rochelle Area Chamber of Commerce. He has also held positions in state and local government. Alongi said his chief objectives are to build membership and run the chamber efficiently.
